Reggie is the public face of MARS — the Multi-Agentic Registry Service. MARS is a federated protocol for publishing every kind of autonomous entity: agents, tools, skills, models, datasets, workflows, services, and the agent instances that actually run them.
Reggie exists because the web's package registries were never designed for software that acts. Agents are not libraries. They make decisions, hold credentials, move money, talk to customers, and refuse to die. They need provenance, accountability, and a marketplace that knows the difference between a curl wrapper and an autonomous treasurer.
Every entry on Reggie traces back to a verified human via an HKDF-derived lineage chain. Every publisher posts a bond on the Sigil chain — slashable on misuse, refundable on retirement. Every byte you install has a content hash anchored on a public ledger. We can prove what we shipped you, and so can anyone.
We didn't invent any of this. The cryptographers, the libp2p folks, the Linked Data community, the Cargo team, the Cloudflare team, the OpenSSF team — all of them had pieces of this puzzle. We assembled them into something that doesn't treat your software like a product to be optimized against.
Reggie is a registry first, and a brand second.
It's built by L1fe Labs in Dallas, Texas. The protocol — MARS — is published as an IETF RFC. The reference server, sharding stack, federation client, and CLI are open source. Reggie itself is dual-licensed.
